About this walk: ~14-15km, ~3-3.5 hours including a 15-20 minute lunch break
There are almost 85km of hiking trails at Cooking Lake/Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area, so let's check out some of the trails accessed from the Islet Lake Staging Area Day Use trailhead!

We will hike along the Highline, Lost Lake, Porcupine, and Siksika trails then have our 15-20 minute lunch/snack break at a picnic area. We will then continue along the Hare, Lost Lake, Porcupine, and Push Lake trails back to the parking lot. (Click HERE for the trail map.)

All activities are being offered in full compliance with current provincial and federal COVID standards. We will practice being socially distanced (6 feet / 2 meters apart) while participating on this event and step off the trail / path briefly to let others pass safely.

Please follow all COVID-19 Federal and Provincial rules, click HERE for info. For more COVID-19 FAQs, testing, and links from Alberta Health Services, click HERE .
