Thu, Mar 12 2009 - Goldbar Park Evening XC-Ski (View Original Event Details)
|
After surviving several days of bitterly cold temperatures, I don't think we could have had a better night for this event! The evening temperature was in the low minus digits, making for wonderful spring-like conditions at Goldbar.
Most of the group skied with Mark, and there were a number of beginner cross-country skiers who were proud of themselves for a successful trip along the Intermediate-level "Woodcutters" loop. A few others skied with me (Ryan). We also started our evening with a trip around the intermediate loops, then tried out the black diamond loops at Goldbar. We even encountered a porcupine along the trail - although, unfortunately, none of us had a camera to record that moment.
After skiing for a little over an hour, most of us made it out to Boston Pizza for some drinks & appetizers.
Thanks all for coming out! Hope to see you again!
