Write Up:
The day was sunny and warm. The group arrived at Devon Voyageur Park and quickly made the decision to venture out into new territory. We drove across the river to Prospector's Point and explored the new trail development leading along the embankment towards University of Alberta Botanical Garden. The conditions were muddy. The narrow trail past the gardens was covered in deep mud. Some sections had half melted ice floating on a foot depth of water. At the end of the 10km hike, most people had twigs in their hair, mud in their socks and dirt on their pants. It was all worth it!!
