A beautiful end of summer/early fall day! Sunny weather and warm temperatures, and the trees turning colour. Perfect! We had a pleasant walk out at Cooking Lake/Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area. We started from the Blackfoot staging area at around 11:15 and took the trails South East via White Tail and Blackfoot to a back country shelter. We stopped for perhaps half-an-hour for lunch, then returned via the Blackfoot trail loop. The total hike was 12-14 km and we were back in town by around 4:30. Great weather, good conversation, pleasant company and a nice way to spend a Sunday. Thanks to everyone for coming out. See you next time.
