Seven brave EOCers, including three new members, took it upon themselves to spend their Saturday morning learning the ropes at Vertically Inclined Rock Gym (VIRG).
Their accomplishments include learning the figure-eight knot, discovering how an Air Traffic Control (ATC) device is used, and realizing straight arms and frog position makes for easier climbing.
Thankfully, there were no re-enactments of Cliffhanger, but some participants did feel a bit like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. A good time was had by all and everyone is looking forward to returning to VIRG to practice their skills before taking the Belay Test.
