Not to be put off by the somewhat wet weather, we headed out (after a quick java stop for fortification) and discovered the delights of the Strathcona Wilderness Centre. The trails were wide and sheltered with trees. We covered a 5km section along Owl Loop, Wagon Loop and portions of Coyote Run before lunch. All members agreed that the mostly flat trails were ideal for cross country skiing. We returned to the lodge around noon, had a bite to eat and tossed the frisbee a bit then finished up by doing a quick 3.5km jaunt around Moose Loop and Old Ridgeway. Welcome again to all our new members, and thanks for everyone for coming out despite the rain. Hope to see you all next time under slightly sunnier skies.
