We will leave on Friday Nov.20 and head to Nordegg after work. We will stay at the Shundra Creek Hostel.
On Saturday morning we will meet after breakfast and decide on day hike--depending on the weather hikes can be anywhere between 4-8 hours. Sunday a shorter hike before we head home.
Saturday evening we will have a potluck, other meals are on your own.
The hostel has fridges, stoves, and all you need to prepare your meals except the food--that is your responsibility!

The Hi Shundra Creek Hostel is located in David Thompson Country. This is beautiful country with lots of choices for hiking.

The event coordinator(s) will help you to arrange a centralized carpool if you require it, but it's not guaranteed. Please DO NOT pay your driver en route. Passengers will pay the coordinator, and he/she will distribute the money to the carpool drivers. SO PLEASE BRING CASH!!! Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $174.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.29, effective Sunday, April 28, 2024). This is based on $0.09/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divided by 9. This cost will be multiplied by the number of carpooled cars, and divided by the number of carpool participants.

Please make your own reservations at the hostel by calling letting them know you are with the EOC. 1-888-748-6321. I have ten spots booked, including myself. Once you have booked let me know. If you have not made your booking at the hostel even if you have signed up you may be left out. This event will be first reserved first served!!:-)

A meeting will be held Tuesday Nov. 17 -- time and location TBD--to arrage car pool, meet others, and go over the Hostel etiquette
