Itinerary:
Join us for an overnight cross-country ski trip at Blackfoot Recreation Area. We will meet Saturday at 1:00 pm at the Waskahegan Staging Area (carpool to be arranged). We will ski 11 km through gently rolling hills to the Lost Lake Shelter, arriving in the early afternoon. We will have a snack, and then have the option of heading out for another ski, or relaxing at the shelter.

We will spend Saturday night in the shelter (or camping outside), and Sunday we will ski out. Return time will depend on whether people want to do an extended route out or go directly - we will likely break into a couple of groups. Skiing directly out would take only 2-3 hours.

The park supplies wood for a fire, as well as potable water. The Lost Lake Shelter is a small building, so it should be cozy, but be prepared for cold.

The park generously provides us with water, firewood and access to the shelter for free, so the only cost is your own food, and the carpool if you participate.
We will arrange food and cooking equipment together to avoid duplication. This will be organized with all registrants after the cutoff date. Please note that in the event of extreme cold weather, this event may be cancelled (or modified to a one-day ski) to ensure the safety of paricipants.
