Itinerary:
There might be some snow on the ground, but this group of caches is apparently winter friendly. We will try to find the Get Sirius! series of geocaches in Terwillegar Park, while simultaneously giving our dogs a workout.

We will attempt to locate the five caches given, and from the clues in each, determine the location of the final cache. Since Get Sirius #5 is close to our own "EOC's First" cache, we will drop by our cache and do a little cache maintenance (make sure everything is hunky dory).

For those not familiar with geocaching, please visit Geocaching.com for more information. It is a worldwide hobby where people hide boxes of trinkets and post their GPS coordinates for others to find. It's treasure hunting by GPS!

The hike includes some gravel trails, some uneven rooty/ rocky paths and some uphills and downhills. There will also be some bushwacking involved, so don't bring your best coat. This is an off leash park, so bring your dogs and some bags to scoop up their poop.

Some people find it difficult to find the park. Please allow yourself enough time to find it and keep my phone number with you.

Required Items to Bring:
Weather-appropriate clothing (toques, gloves, etc.)
Water
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Dog
GPS unit
Dollar store items to exchange with those in the caches (generally items smaller than your hand)

How to Get There:
Event Directions:The park is located at the very west end of Rabbit Hill road, off Terwillegar Drive. For those coming from Whitemud Drive, take the Terwillegar exit, turn right at Rabbit Hill Road and go all the way to the end. It will turn into a gravel hill. At the bottom of the hill will be the park's parking lot. We will meet at the northwestern end of the parking lot, near the facilities. I will be wearing the yellow EOC cap, likely under a toque.
