Itinerary:
The plan is to ski around 10km, depending on people's inclinations - a trail map for Strathcona Wilderness Centre can be accessed here. Everyone is welcome to ski as much or as little as you're comfortable with. There is a heated lodge on site with washrooms and a few tables inside to sit down and have a snack. The lodge sells a few snacks and has a hot drink machine. I suggest bringing a lunch. The trails go out from the lodge in a series of small inter-connected loops. The trails are rated as easy & intermediate with a few steep hills. This area has some trails that are suited for less experienced skiers & for those that do not want to ski long distances with Mark on blue intermediate trails (beginner skiers can stick together on the green easy trails).

If you do not own cross-country skis, Strathcona Wilderness Centre has on- site rentals available. The "Adult Ski Package (waxless)" is $16.00. The trail pass for SWC is an additional $7.00.
