**Please note:
- This will be a moderately paced walk of ~4.5-5km/hr.
- This event will be weather dependent, please check the EOC calendar and your email for any updates.

About this walk: ~9km, ~2 hours including a 5 minute snack break (~3.5km) followed by a 15-20 minute lunch break at the 7km mark
Situated on 550 acres of parkland next to the beautiful shores of Bennett Lake, the Strathcona Wilderness Centre offers 12km of trails through woodland, meadow and lakeshore terrain. See the SWC's website for further info and their map.

We will start out clockwise (usually we go in the opposite direction) on the outer trails (Moose over to Old Ridgeway then Coyote and Wagon) then stop for a lunch break (at ~7km) along Bennett Lake. After lunch we will meander on some inner trails over to a short boardwalk off of the Fox trail then finish up along the Coyote Run trail (~2km left to the parking lot).

There are lots of rolling hills on some of the trails we’ll be heading on.
