Itinerary:
Since 'Winter Walk Day' in Alberta this year was in the big cold snap of 2019, let's do our own Edmonton Outdoor Club (EOC) 'Winter Hike Night' version since it should be warmer. See our itinerary below:

Meet in the South part (Snow Valley overflow parking lot next to bridge) of the parking lot by the Snow Valley Ski Club building at 6:50 PM
I will have a blue EOC cap hanging on the antenna of my car so you can recognise me.

From Snow Valley, we will walk north through Whitemud Park as far as Fox Drive, then continue up a steady climb to the Grandview Heights area.
We can enjoy the view from the top of the stairs overlooking the Quesnell Bridge and then return to Snow Valley via Whitemud Park.

Difficulty: the walk will be at a "moderate" pace (approx 4.5 km/h) and we will have a steady climb up the trail from Fox Drive to Grandview Heights.

Dogs are welcome on this hike, however they must be leashed because there is no off-leash area where we are going. If you are bringing your dog(s) please note this when you sign up for the event.

Reference: Winter Walk Day is a province-wide initiative to get Albertans up and moving during the winter months. Winter Walk Day celebrates our Alberta Winter while promoting the year-round health benefits of walking.
