Itinerary:
Come and explore the scenic trails at Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area, west of Edmonton. There are four interlinking trails - Indian Ridge, Natures Way, Woodland Lookout and Cranberry Corner trails, in total around 14km.
Depending upon group preferences, weather, etc, we may be doing all of the 14km.
I am thinking that all being well, we will walk for at least 3 hours at a brisk pace (4 to 5km/hr) - to be confirmed on the day.

The terrain is mainly gently rolling hills, but there are one or two steeper ones too. There are picnic tables and outhouses along the trails, so bring a lunch along if you wish.

Look for me wearing a Blue EOC cap so you can spot me in the far parking lot up the hill.

We will meet at 9:45 am at Chickakoo, and be on the trails for a quick star after group check-in.

We will need to stay fairly close together as a group, so any real "speed demons" or "slowcoaches" will either need to slow down or speed up as appropriate, or find another event .
Please note that the hike may be cut short in the event of heavy rain or thunderstorms.
Be prepared for any weather conditions!
