Itinerary:
**Just posted Friday night. This is an exploratory snowshoe with all the new overnight fresh powder!

It may be snowing heavy but that is part of the adventure, plus we are mainly sheltered in the forest. Be prepared for wilderness snowshoe travel on the frozen Whitemud Creek banks and along it.

We'll meet at 10:20 am at the parking lot on the South side of 23rd Ave just to the east of the Bridge over the Whitemud Creek. This is the dip(small valley) in the road between 119th Street and Rabbit Hill Road.

The snowshoe should be between 3 and 3.5 hrs approximately.

Be sure to bring water to keep hydrated and energized during the hike. It's recommended to bring poles for any steep sections.

Required Items to Bring:

-And of course SNOWSHOES! :D
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
-Trekking Poles
-Gaiters

How to Get There:
Event Directions:If you're coming from the west, take Whitemud to Terwillegar. From Terwillegar, turn left onto Rabbit Hill Road, then left on 23rd. You will go down a hill with a bridge at the bottom. The parking lot is at the end of the bridge on the right-hand side. If you're coming from the east, you might instead want to come down 119th street and turn right on 23rd. When you come down the hill towards the bridge, you will not be able to turn into the parking lot heading west - you have to go up the hill, find a place to turn around, then return down the hill to find the parking lot on the right.
