PRE-REGISTRATION & PAYMENT REQUIRED: Once you've reviewed the event details, and decided you'd like to join us, you MUST sign up at the bottom of this page. You will then make your payment for this event at the venue, NOT in advance to the EOC.

You are STRONGLY encouraged to read this page in its entirety before signing up. If you'd like to attend, we ask that you abide by our rules and procedures as a time/cost saving process (with an end result of keeping membership free and lower cost events).

Itinerary:
Regular Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR (AED included) Level C. Two-day course, 8 hours per day (9-5), offered by OSCTS.

Coffee and tea are provided free of charge, unlimited. Bottled water and pop available by donation. There is a fridge and microwave in the training room, so we can bring our own lunches. There are also a number of restaurants about 5 minutes from the venue.

NOTE that you will get moved from the waiting list onto the event ONLY when the coordinator has received your payment. Payment must be received - in the coordinator's hand - by the cut-off date/time. No exceptions!

Books will be available prior to the event. If you're interested in having the books ahead of time, please let me know.

We will carpool to the event on both days because parking is limited at the venue.

If you're interested in this training but can't make it on this weekend, please email me to let me know. I may be able to arrange a second session if there's enough interest.

Please do NOT submit payment through the EOC treasurer. Please send your payment directly to the coordinator for expedient processing. The coordinator can accept:
- Online payment (preferred)
- Hand-delivered cash
- Mailed or hand-delivered cheque. If mailed, must be received by the cut-off
- PayPal (not preferred)


If your payment arrives late (ie. after the cut-off, or after all nine spots are filled), it will be returned (cash/electronic) or destroyed (cheque).

Note that you must be physically fit to perform CPR.

Required Items to Bring:
- Comfortable clothes for practial activities
- Non-marking footwear. Outdoor shoes are not allowed in the training room
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
- Lunch or money for lunch
- Your day pack with everything you normally bring for a hike or other outdoor outing

How to Get There:
Event Directions:A 10-minute drive from the carpool location. Please plan to carpool to the event per the instructions provided. There is limited parking at the venue. If you have 2+ people in your vehicle (ie. you're already partnered up), and you want to go directly to the venue, contact me for the location. If you absolutely have to meet at the venue even though you're traveling by yourself, please contact me.

Carpool Cost: The event coordinator(s) will help you to arrange a centralized carpool if you require it, but it's not guaranteed. Please DO NOT pay your driver en route. Passengers will pay the coordinator, and he/she will distribute the money to the carpool drivers. SO PLEASE BRING CASH!!! Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $3.48 (calculated at total Km * $0.29, effective Friday, April 19, 2024). This is based on $0.09/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divided by 9. This cost will be multiplied by the number of carpooled cars, and divided by the number of carpool participants.
