Itinerary:

Come join me at this festival out at Chickakoo Lake. To find me at the event, I'll be at the main area at 10:00 AM wearing my yellow EOC baseball cap. (After we check out the activities, I'm going to go for a short 1-1.5 hour hike, you're welcome to join me - bring your ice grips.)

Winter Jacket? Check. Snow Pants? Check. Boots? Check. Sounds like you're already to join us at Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area for a family fun day filled with winter activities that you may not have had the chance to try.

Parkland County's Community Economic Diversification department will be teaming up with local businesses to promote regional tourism, living local and community engagement!

What’s the catch? We will be requiring a non- perishable food item or cash donation in exchange for each cup of hot chocolate or the use of equipment. ALL money and food donations will go to the Parkland Food Bank and WEE Community Food Bank!!

Activities include:
Fatbiking - hosted by Mud Sweat And Gears
Snowshoeing - hosted by Totem Outdoor Outfitters
Cross Country Skiing - hosted by Totem Outdoor Outfitters
Geocaching - hosted by volunteers in the local geocaching community
Ice Fishing Awareness - hosted by Get Hooked Fishing Adventures

Perks Coffee House will be there to provide hot chocolate and coffee and Freson Bros. will be donating hot dogs for the Girl Guides to cook!

*If you plan on spending the afternoon with us, we ask that you bring a camp chair as there will be limited seating at picnic tables.

Appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear
Money for food and beverages
Your sense of adventure!
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Camp chair
Travel mug for some coffee/chocolate Ice grips (if you plan to hike with me after)

How to Get There:
Event Directions:West on Highway 16 from Edmonton, turn north onto Highway 779 (Range Road 10) at the road sign. Follow the signs to Chickakoo or turn left at TWP 534, right at RR 13, left to stay on RR 13 and then right at Chickakoo.
