PRE-REGISTRATION & PAYMENT REQUIRED: Once you've reviewed the event details, and decided you'd like to join us, you MUST sign up at the bottom of this page. After you sign up at the bottom, you will be presented with information about how to pay. Late payments are NOT accepted for this event, in any circumstance.

Itinerary:

Come join me and learn to cross country ski at the Strathcona Wilderness Center (SWC).

- When: Saturday, January 9th at 10:00 AM (*please arrive by 9:45 AM)
- Duration: lesson starts at 10:00 AM and is 2 hours (after you can ski any of their well groomed 12km of trails of varying difficulties)
- Where: Strathcona Wilderness Center - see below for directions
- Amenities: there is a building on site to warm up with washrooms and snacks
- Equipment: ski rentals are available on site if you don't have your own
- Cost: $45.50 includes the lesson, rentals, and the pass to ski the trails after

- Description of the course: If you have never Cross Country skied before, or have skied but never taken a lesson, this program is for you. Designed to introduce participants to Cross- County Skiing: Classic Technique, the program will focus on gaining comfort on skis, weight shift, flat terrain and basic hill techniques. Discussion of proper equipment, dress and trail etiquette will be included. An additional fee for equipment rental will apply.

Sign up on the wait list and pay for your spot via Strathcona Wilderness Centre's Winter 2016 Recreation Guide (page 66 in the top of guide but 68 when scrolling), click on course #: 100496, add the course to the basket then follow their steps.
**Once you're done, e-mail me a confirmation that you have paid for the course via Strathcona County's website and then I will move you from the waitlist onto the attendee list.

Event Directions:Located at 52535 Range Road 212, SWC is 20 minutes east of Sherwood Park on Township Road 530 (Baseline Road) and Range Road 212. Look at the MAP for directions. GPS co- ordinates: N 53º 31.957' W 112º 59.964' 52535 Range Road 212, Strathcona County

- Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the EOC's possession by that date. No exceptions.
- When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met. For any events where EOC needs a minimum number of participants, there will be absolutely no refunds of money if you cancel.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in EOC events.
