We'll meet at the Tiramisu Bistro at 10:00am for
brunch. After brunch we will
meet the Jane's Walk leader at pocket park aross
from the restaurant
at 11:00am. This walking tour will explore the
route of the Edmonton Yukon and Pacific Railway,
the original St. Albert Trail and the only
designated historical garages in Edmonton. On the
way, we will make our way through the Westmount
Architectural Heritage Area, and see a topic of
recent interest, the 102 Avenue Bridge. This walk is part of the Jane's Walk events happening in Edmonton. Jane’s Walk is a celebration of people and cities taking place all around the world on the first weekend of May to coincide with Jane Jacobs’ birthday. Through the simple act of walking together and discussing what makes a neighbourhood, Jane’s Walk helps knit people together into strong and resourceful communities.
