Itinerary:

We will meet in the parking lot at Emily Murphy Park (NW corner nearest the Groat Road bridge) at 5:50pm for registration, leaving at 6:00pm.

We will be doing a short hike this evening - basically head west to Hawlerak Park, have a quick break by the Buena Vista Footbridge, and then turn back and return to the meeting place.

Depending upon how quickly we finish, we could do a short section to the east of Emily Murphy Park as well.

To recognize me at the meeting place, I will be driving a silver Toyota Rav4 and wearing or carrying a yellow EOC baseball cap.

Dogs are very welcome on this event.

You are advised to bring ice grips/traction devices.

Likewise, in case we run out of daylight, a headlamp/flashlight would be very useful too.

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

Emily Murphy Park is at Groat Road and Emily Murphy Park Road NW.

To get to Emily Murphy Park from Gateway Blvd/Calgary Trail: head west on 82nd Ave/ Whyte Ave, then turn right on 110 St, then turn left on Saskatchewan Drive.
Keep to the right and take Emily Murphy Park Rd., turn right into Emily Murphy Park.

If you are coming from the north on Groat Road: take the exit toward Parks Area, turn left then right onto Emily Murphy Park Rd, destination will be on the left.

Once in the park turn left at the T intersection and meet in parking lot near the Groat Road Bridge.
