Itinerary:
Snowshoe fun everyone. Beginners ARE ENCOURAGED to come out and try this easy and relaxing sport. If you can walk, you can snowshoe. It's a great opportunity to just check out the sport before you tackle something harder, or out-of-town.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In the event that there is not enough snow, we will proceed anyway with a hike in the area.

***If you don't own snowshoes, I (Lynn) have been able to obtain a dozen pairs, so folks can try out the sport without having to rent them. I will make them available on a first come first serve basis. Please add your request in the notes section including if you require Small (under 150 lbs) Med (up to 200 lbs) or Large (up to 250 lbs) so I can ensure the right size. Or you can also rent a pair at either MEC or Totem Outfitters.

There are trails winding through the entire park. Some trails are packed and others will hopefully have lots of fluffy wonderful snow. Parts of the Snowshoe may require some elevation changes.

To find me, come inside the Alfred H Savage Centre. I will be wearing some sort of purple clothing and will have some snowshoes with me for those borrowing. If the weather changes and trails are not suitable for snowshoeing, we will go ahead with a hike in the area.

Required Items to Bring:
Water Weather-appropriate clothing (toques, gloves, etc., and dress in synthetic layers) Snowshoes and boots are required Hiking poles are recommended, but not required and as this is an easy trail folks should be fine.
Participants must provide their own equipment
Recommended Items to Bring:

Notes:
Consider renting snowshoes. This is an excellent way to experience the sport without a large commitment money or time wise. If you are renting snowshoes you may wish to reserve these rentals earlier than later as these rentals are especially popular on weekends.
