Itinerary:
We will paddle at Astotin lake which is about 10 k north of the southern entrance to the park, turn into the parking lot & meet there. Look for a white truck with a trailer & 2 kayaks on top. however: we are first meeting in the welcome centre just inside the park to share the park pass.

Required Items to Bring:
shiggy shoes (shoes that you can get wet & dirty), shorts or shiggy pants, a t-shirt, a wind breaker. Courage. plus the clothes you normally wear. Your feet will get wet in the kayak & if you tip you will be glad to have a change of clothes.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
sun block, mosquito repellent, sun glasses, a cap that keeps the sun/rain out of your eyes a snack, some beverages, a water bottle to take out on the lake.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Go to the hwy 16/ Yellowhead entrance of the park & go to the visitor's centre. We will then car pool the rest of the way to the lake as I have a park pass.

Notes:
this is a rain or shine event the god of "having fun & exercise" is on my side After today you will be able to say that you "can kayak" note that I am also a novice, but I know enough to get you started.
