Itinerary:
*NOTE: We will meet at 5:50, and start walking clock-wise around the lake at 6:00PM sharp. If you are late, you'll have to find us on the walk around the lake (try going counter clock-wise to meet up with us, look for the large group of people).

We will meet at the Castledowns Library parking lot and walk around the lake two - three times to get in some good week-night exercise. Each loop is approximately 2.5 km. Participants are welcome to finish after one or more loops.

Lake Beaumaris is the largest storm water lake maintained by the city of Edmonton. Since the lake was created in the late 1970s it has evolved to a significant ecosystem. It is home to cattails, bulrushes, willows, grasses, and a multitude of birds, in addition to the city-maintained lawns, trees and shrubs.

The trail around the lake offers a great paved walking path for year round walking with lighting all the way around the lake.

We will maintain a steady pace of 4-5 km/hour.
