University of Alberta's D evonian Botanical Gardens is a field collection of some of the most beautiful plants you'll ever see. Located just north of Devon, it's only about 15 minutes out of Edmonton. It even has an elaborate Japanese Garden, among other specialized displays.

On August 15th from 8PM to Midnight - A pyjama party under the stars! Wear your cozy pyjamas, bring your pillows, blankets, flashlights and lawnchairs, and sit back to enjoy one of the busiest times in the sky during the annual Perseids Meteor Shower. Spread out your blanket or your lawn chair and watch the sky without interruption from city lights.

While we wait for dark to fall, we will venture around the gardens and smell the flowers.

To find me at the gardens, I will be waiting at the garden entrance at 8pm wearing my yellow EOC baseball cap. At 8:15pm we will head on in to explore the gardens until 10:00pm or so, then get our seats for the Perseids show.

If you are running late, please bring my phone # with so you can contact me and we'll try to find each other.

***Please note I will be planning a central carpool at 7:15pm at the West Edmonton Mall overflow parking lot on 90th Avenue and at about 175th Street).***
