Itinerary:
Come out for a relaxing cross-country ski at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre. We will ski at an easy pace, but some experience on skis is required.

The plan is to ski around 10km, depending on people's inclinations. We'll enjoy some of the green and blue trails. Do as much or as little as you're comfortable with. There is a heated lodge on site with washrooms and a few tables inside to sit down and have a snack. The lodge sells a few snacks and has a hot drink machine. I suggest bring a lunch. The trails go out from the lodge in a series of small inter-connected loops. The trails are rated as easy & intermediate with a few steep hills. This area has some trails that are suited for less experienced skiers & for those that do not want to ski long distances.

Strathcona Wilderness Centre has on-site rentals - the "Adult Ski Package (waxless)" is $14.00.

Required Items to Bring:
$5.00 for trail pass
Skis, boots and poles (and wax, if appropriate), or $14.00 to rent
Warm clothing appropriate to the weather
Water
Lunch
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
