PRE-REGISTRATION & PAYMENT REQUIRED: Once you've reviewed the event details, and decided you'd like to join us, you MUST sign up at the bottom of this page. You will then make your payment for this event at the venue, NOT in advance to the EOC.

You are STRONGLY encouraged to read this page in its entirety before signing up. If you'd like to attend, we ask that you abide by our rules and procedures as a time/cost saving process (with an end result of keeping membership free and lower cost events).

Itinerary:
Become a First Aider! This is a course to get both your (Red Cross) Standard First Aid and Wilderness First Aid Certification.
The cost is $275 including taxes per participant which includes the full Wilderness First Aid Course, Beverages, Snacks and the Field Fees.
Payment must be made directly to Andrew by 12pm May 11, 2013 and after this point it is non- refundable unless you find someone to take your spot and submit the payment.
If you are interested, put yourself on the waitlist, and once payment is submitted to Andrew you'll be moved to the participant list.

June 7 meet at 16516 111Ave (Canem Systems) for 5:30PM for Instruction to begin at 6:00PM. The classroom session is 4 hours. Water and juice will be provided, but bring a snack if you'll be hungry.

June 8 meet at the Field Site for 8:45AM for instruction to begin at 9:00AM. The instruction is 10 hours on Saturday, then we'll camp overnight

June 9 instruction begins again at 8:00AM and lasts 10 hours.

There will be no showers on site but there will be Portable Toilets available (The type found at festivals and work sites).
Alcohol is not recommended as this is a learning weekend, but we will enjoy a campfire and good conversation Saturday evening.

The site is a privately owned acreage so please ensure you're respectful of that. You'll need to bring the appropriate camping gear for one overnight.

Once the weekend concludes and you've passed the test, you'll be Standard and Wilderness First Aid Certified!

How to Get There:
Event Directions:CLASSROOM LOCATION - 16516 111 Ave. (PRIVATE ACREAGE) Directions will be emailed once registration is completed and payment submitted.

Carpool Cost: The event coordinator(s) will help you to arrange a centralized carpool if you require it, but it's not guaranteed. Please DO NOT pay your driver en route. Passengers will pay the coordinator, and he/she will distribute the money to the carpool drivers. SO PLEASE BRING CASH!!! Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $34.80 (calculated at total Km * $0.29, effective Tuesday, April 23, 2024). This is based on $0.09/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divided by 9. This cost will be multiplied by the number of carpooled cars, and divided by the number of carpool participants.

Notes:
If you don't wish to camp at the Site Saturday night that is okay as long as you're back to the Site on time Sunday.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in EOC events.
