Itinerary:
So we meet in the Gold Bar Park parking lot at 12:45 to hike away at 1:00. We will hike north east along the river to the Strathcona Science Park & back. How far we get will depend on the group concensus. The trail is mostly in the forest & there are some short hills & 1 long one if we get that far. This trail is almost unused, I have NEVER met another person on this trail unless I brought them there myself. It is better exercise than most trails because of the ups & downs.

Required Items to Bring:
A litre of water. Good boots. If you have poles or micro spikes bring them. If not, I will lend you some. Mits/gloves, a hat. A joy for being outside. If you bring a dog please bring a leash just in case & poop bags.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Find yourself at the corner of 101ave/50th street close to Capilano mall. Go north, down hill past 106 st & more down hill till you see the sign GOLD BAR PARK. Turn right into the approach & go about a kilometer to the parking lot & look for a dark blue toyota matrix.

Notes:
This hike is NOT a race it is a slow enjoyable afternoon outdoors with some exercise thrown in.
