Itinerary:
Please note that although this is a relatively short hike that I have done in the past as a fairly "relaxed" event, this is intended as more of a conditioning hike and will be at a quicker pace. We will also include a set of stairs, and over a 10 or 15 minute period, participants can walk up and down the stairs as many times as they like.

Also, sorry - but no dogs on this hike (no exceptions).

We will meet at 6:00pm, for a 6:15pm departure.

Meet at the parking lot at the NW end of Groat Bridge - see the directions below.
We will then walk west along the MacKinnon Ravine trail, as far west as it goes (just short of 149 Street).
For a bit of variety, we will also do a diversion off MacKinnon Ravine - Ramsey Ravine leads off to the north and continues under 102 Avenue into the Glenora area.
It is not a long detour, but it is quite a pretty ravine and worth a look.

A little bit further up are the afore-mentioned stairs which we will also include in this hike.

Once we reach the end of the trail (just before 149 Street), we will return via the same route.

The trails are mainly surfaced, and as far as I know most (if not all) of them are kept clear by the City of Edmonton.
However, please be prepared for slippery conditions underfoot - just in case!
Also, bring headlamps / flashlights, as this is an evening hike.
