Hawrelak Park - Fort Edmonton/ stairs conditioning hike (3/20/2012)

Itinerary:
This is a conditioning hike and not an urban hike, the pace will be faster and we will do stairs and hills for approximately thirty minutes, we will have a few short stops.

We will be meeting at Hawrelak Park picnic shelter no.2 for this hike. We will meet at 6:05 for registration and leave at 6:15PM. We will follow the path towards Fort Edmonton where we will encounter stairs and climb them for ten minutes we will continue on to the stairs by Fox Drive and climb them for ten minutes. On our way back to Hawrelak we will do the same stairs again for anouther ten minutes. The duration of this hike will be longer approximately two and a half hours.


Required Items to Bring:
-good footwear
-warm clothing (layers work best)
-water
Recommended Items to Bring:

-Hiking poles
-Hiking cleats-eg(Yak Traks)

the Buena Vista footbridge.
