Itinerary:

Miquelon Lake Provincial Park is located southeast of Edmonton and has a substantial trail network, which we will check out before mosquito season! (hopefully before mosquito season......)

We will meet in the SE corner of the parking lot at the Bonnie Doon Mall (83 St / 82 Ave) at 9:45 AM for a 10:00 AM departure. From there, we will drive out to Miquelon Lake Provincial Park - aiming to be there for around 11:00 AM

From Bonnie Doon head east from Edmonton on the Sherwood Park Freeway, then turn south on Hwy 21.
When you pass New Sarepta, there will be a sign directing you to turn left to access the park.

Once you get to Miquelon, to get to the backcountry trail head, go through the park gates and stay right.
You will pass the interpretive centre and the staff housing road. Turn into the 'Group Use Areas 1-2' where you will see a baseball diamond and parking. We will meet there.
The trail starts just a few hundred feet ahead to your right.

The trails are shown in the attachment below:

Miquelon Lakes info
