West Edmonton Mall has opened a three-level ropes course in the middle of the Mall. Ropes Quest, located beside World Waterpark, is the first ropes course in Edmonton and the only ropes course to be constructed in a shopping centre in Canada.

Participants can set their own direction once they are on the course, choose what obstacles they want to explore, and determine for themselves how adventurous they want to be.

Participants wear a harness that has a main rope line attached to an overhead rail system. Staff attach the rope line to the rail system and participants remain secured to the line until they complete the attraction. The multi- coloured course which has beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, stands 12.8-metres high (42 feet) and incorporates at least 11 elements on each level. Ropes Quest has 37 different elements in all, including tightropes, a wood “plank bridge,” rope bridges, and stationary and swaying balance beams.

At least one staff member is on the course at all times.

Afterwards we can head over to Bourbon Street for snacks and refreshments.

NOTE:
This is a first paid first get on event. If you want to get on, send the EOC your payment first and when someone on the main list does not make the payment you'll get to be moved up. Any overbooking and if we do not have the minimum group size of 15 your money will be fully refunded.

Notes:

- Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the EOC's possession by that date. No exceptions.
- When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met. For any events where EOC needs a minimum number of participants, there will be absolutely no refunds of money if you cancel.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in EOC events.
