From the De vonian Gardens Website:
Thousands of candles light the paths of the Kurimoto Japanese Garden in a breathtaking display - a quiet oasis of peace and light. In addition to a stroll through the candle-lit pathways, visitors can sip hot apple cider beside bonfires, enjoy seasonal sounds of a capella singers, and catch a glimpse of the magical Snow Sprites. A special Memory Lane will be available for visitors who wish to light a candle to honour of a loved one, by donation.

We are meeting at the Aldergrove Community League and Elementary School parking lot at 6:45 PM to assemble carpools. We'll depart at 7:00 PM and arrive at the Devonian Gardens at around 7:30 PM.

There is an admission charge for this event, payable at the Devonian Gardens gate.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:The Devonian Gardens are located on Highway 60 just north of Devon. Highway 60 runs north/south and intersects with Whitemud Trail, Stony Plain Road and the Yellowhead Highway about 10 km west of the city. Turn south onto it from any of those roads and follow it until you see the turn-off for the Gardens.

Carpool Cost: The event coordinator(s) will help you to arrange a centralized carpool if you require it, but it's not guaranteed. Please DO NOT pay your driver en route. Passengers will pay the coordinator, and he/she will distribute the money to the carpool drivers. SO PLEASE BRING CASH!!! Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $14.50 (calculated at total Km * $0.29, effective Friday, April 19, 2024). This is based on $0.09/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divided by 9. This cost will be multiplied by the number of carpooled cars, and divided by the number of carpool participants.
