Itinerary:
MELTDOWN mixes the cool atmosphere of Winter Light’s outdoor light and fire installations with a hot indoor party hosted by the Jube.

Featured at this event is Lindsay McIntyre, an award winning media artist who will create a ‘wall of light’ on the east wall of the outdoor plaza using dozens of old-school film projectors. Lantern and light designer Dylan Toymaker will create magical installations throughout the space, while music, media projections, and blazing fires combine to create an outdoor ‘art party’ atmosphere.

Indoors in the South Lobby, local indie music stars The Low Flying Planes will perform their unique blend of original folk roots rock. Stylish lighting, free hot chocolate and a special ‘Meltdown’ cash bar complete the party scene.

They will be accepting donations of warm winter clothing — socks, mittens, parkas, scarves, toques, snow pants, jackets and coats at the venue for the Share the Warmth Campaign.

We will meet at 7:30 pm, at the Good Earth Cafe on 8623 112 Street and walk over to the Jubilee. We will view the art installations, listen to some live music and enjoy food and beverages.
