Itinerary:
Welcome to the second in a series of hikes designed to educate you about the geology and natural features of our city. The book "Edmonton Beneath Our Feet" by the Edmonton Geological Society is the inspiration for this series of hikes. On this hike, we will learn about landslides, river floodplain deposits, bedrock geology, river gold, coal mining and brick making.

We will start at Victoria Park, go up over Groat Bridge, into Emily Murphy Park and over to Kinsmen Park and then back to Victoria Park via the pedway beneath the LRT track.

Please ensure that you have good footwear as we will be looking at some things in muddy areas. Dogs must be on leash for the entire hike. Please make sure you have enough poop bags and water for your dog.
