Wed, Jul 8 2009 - Shakespeare in the Park (Titus Andronicus) (View Original Event Details)

Event Coordinator(s): Ryan
Participants:Jana, Diego, alinaelena, LarryL, Ryan, Linda Tyler, Janine

Write Up:
The weather was a little on the rainy and chilly side, but the canopy above the Hawrelak Park Heritage Ampitheatre kept us dry. We were able to watch an excellent performance of the Bard's Titus Andronicus. This isn't one of Shakespeare's most renowned plays, and we all knew very little about it when we went to watch it. Titus Andronicus is, to put it very bluntly, a very viscious play. Or, as one EOC member put it during the show, evidence that Shakespeare is "one sick puppy!"

Keeping track of who killed who over the course of this play is a surprisingly tough exercise, but suffice it to say that the play involves lots and lots of vengeful murder and mayhem (and a couple of pies!)

Thanks all for coming out! I hope to see you soon at another event.
