Write Up:
Beautiful warm day for a hike today. Sun was bright. We kept a brisk pace from snow valley ski centre to fox drive, up to Grandview ravine. Made a random stop at a geocache and then the yarn memorial at the top of the staircase above Alfred H. Savage Centre. Watched kids ride sleds and discussed ideas for future EOC hikes. The group was willing to go on some freestyle exploring in perch springs and it was the most rewarding portion of the hike. Perch springs is a hidden gem. The sound of water echoes and occasionally you can spot running water from the natural spring beneath the snow and ice. We were back at our start positions at the 2 hour mark. Thanks for joining me and hope to see you all again soon! - Betty
