Thanks to all EOCers who volunteered for the Christmas Bureau's hamper packing event. A few of us were available to attend the volunteer appreciation party.

We were well fed, entertained by the door prize draws (in which Peter won a Sony stereo system - congrats!) and had an opportunity to hear about the difference the Christmas Bureau makes.

A woman whose family had received hampers for a period of 12 years after quite a bit of personal hardship expressed her gratitude to the Christmas Bureau.

I am so glad EOC members were able to help brighten the holiday season for some of Edmonton's less fortunate in December 2007.
