Write Up:
We spent an hour-and-a-half and received priceless advice, information and tips from Neil and Esteban of Mountain Equipment Co-op. Some of our learning included the outrageous fact that we lose upwards of 200 ml of water at night through our feet; the first rule is: STAY DRY; that in relation to DWR (durable water repellant) coating, one should wash it lots and dry it hot; and that soap is better than detergent when it comes to washing technical clothing.

Thanks to all in attendance. I hope the learning event will help you put your winter budget to good use and hope to see you outdoors - and warm - this winter.
