We had a great group of 10 come out on a beautiful November morning to hike a really nice trail in Elk Island National Park. The weather was really nice, not that cold but enough to keep us moving. We all enjoyed the nice trail and the ups and downs and the excellent scenary elk island has to offer: lakes, beaver dams, trees, and of course bison poop. We even had a chance to see a moose from about 50 yards away and it was very big but soon ran off into the trees. We hiked 13 kms in about 3 and a half hours including a nice snack/lunch stop. A special thank-you to the drivers who made it possible for all to come. I can see myself returning and hiking this trail again in 2008. Thanks to everyone for coming and hope to see you out next time along with some new faces. Also, congrats to Pascal, his first EOC event! Great hike everyone!
