Our group completed the Walcott Quarry/Burgess Shale guided hike on two different dates. Jenny completed the hike on Friday, July 26 and arrived early enough the night before to secure a lovely campsite (near all the amenities and with a beautiful view) for the EOC group. The remaining five EOCers completed the hike as a group on Saturday, July 27. The hike was very informative and interesting and, more importantly (to this co-ordinator), the views and scenery were breathtakingly beautiful. Following the Saturday hike, we gathered for a delicious campsite potluck and we feasted like royalty. The next morning, after a hearty breakfast of potluck leftovers, we made our way home.
