Write Up:
Despite the warmer temperatures, it was still a great night to check out an ice-carving festival!

This was the opening night, and some carvings were still being worked upon, but those that were completed were very impressive, I liked the dragon, the fish and Buddha who appeared to be taking a soccer throw-in.
I decided not to try the slide though, as I had visions of being stuck halfway down....

In the warm up tent, we enjoyed some hot drinks and snacks. There was also karaoke. Our illustrious leader (Ian M) is normally not a fan of karaoke but would like to pay tribute to the new signing sensation, the EOC "Spice Girls" Leslie, Tuyet and Cynthia, with the guest "Spice Boy" Jim! :-). Afterwards, a few of us went for drinks/eats at a nearby venue. A nice end to a good evening! Thanks everyone for attending.
