Write Up:
With the mild winter we're having (so far), there wasn't much snow in the park to provide resistance... but we headed out anyway and made do with what we found. The fields in a lot of cases did provide quite a bit of resistance so we got a good workout tromping about. We then did some bushwhacking through the woods, which, although it was plenty fun, was not really that comparable to climbing the ROUSs on the West Coast Trail. Amulya feared we were lost for a bit, but when the threat of being eaten reared its head, he wisely calmed down and we easily found our way out of the bush.

A few people took their leave of the group, but most of us headed to the playground for the third bit of training - the playground (training for the ladders). We were having a tremendous amount of fun - this particular playground really is perfect for WCT training and we will be back, however, the day ended abruptly with an injury when Sri fell and injured her arm almost immediately after declaring how much fun she was having. BUMMER!! Get better soon, Sri, so we can see you back out on the trail.

For future WCT training events I probably would do things a little differently. The playground is great training for both the ladders and the ROUSs, so I'll probably skip the bushwhacking and focus on the playground... but hopefully no more injuries. Be careful out there folks...
