Thanks everyone for joining us for the long weekend camping and hiking at Elk Island National Park.
5 of us arrived early Saturday afternoon and hiked along the Lakeview Trail loop enjoying all the wild flowers and dragonflies! Some members enjoyed dipping into lake as well as hiking along the South Shore Trail to explore more sites, while a couple of us relaxed at the beach. Afterwards 7 of us met up at the cafe for some beverages and food.
By 8:30pm all 10 of us were setup at the campsite and relaxing by the campfire before venturing down by the beach to watch the sunset. Later on Imran setup his telescope to stargaze with several others and they had a very late night!
On Sunday 7 of us started out on the 13km Moss Lake hiking trail but only 4 of us completed the mosquito infested hike - congrats for surviving! Hope you didn't end up with as many bites as Sandie did (she had ~50!). After the 4 of us headed over to a cafe for some food and beverages before heading back to the city.
