Write Up:
The weekend went off just as the doctor ordered, with the majority of the group arriving Friday night and Keith joining us on Saturday. The weekend started with an unscheduled clinic on "off roading" provided by Jason L. (You will need to ask him about the specifics!) We woke to a blustery but sunny Saturday morning, everyone was up in good time and looking to break out and hit the trails. We spit into two groups with one headed to the old mining town site around Nordegg for some XC skiing . And the second group went west to hike Allstones Mtn. As the sun started to fade back at the Shunda Creek Hostel, it was apparent that everyone had good reason to find a spot in the hot tub. No one seemed to have any trouble tipping back a few lagers and reminiscing about the days events! The pot luck was up next and, it was quite a spread although I am not sure if the Canadian Food Guild would have approved! All the dishes where great and I would bet dollars to doughnuts no one went away hungry. There was unfortunately 1 major drama that took place on Saturday night. It was kept hush hush at first but I caught wind there was a mass evacuation from my dorm room! APPARENTLY I snore! I sincerly apologise for anyone unable to find ear plugs!! The word on the grapevine is that everyone is going to chip in for a private room for me next time around! So if any of your cabin fever symptoms return, the doctor recommends a return visit ASAP until a full recovery is made. I also just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for their help cleaning up after the group during the weekend. Ciao for now Scott 8)
