An excellent hike tonight. Welcome to the newcomers of the EOC and welcome back to the "oldtimers" who also attended. Great exercise, lots of stairs as usual and an increased route to make this hike a true conditioning hike. There was a little unexpected drama on tonight's hike when we stumbled upon some naughty youth who had created a wildfire in the river valley. 3 EOC Good deed doers, 2 of these Good Samaritans were first timers to the EOC, called the Edm Fire Dept., waited for them to show-up, then showed them the location of the fire. The fire dept gratefully stated that with the high winds tonight, it could have been disastrous. Three cheers for the EOC. The rest of the group waited for the other 3 at the stairs but gave them a reprieve for their efforts. A good time was had by all. Thanks for coming out and saving our river valley.
