Write Up:
Ahh spring is finally here. 8 of us enjoyed an awesome hike, about 12 km, through the snow covered but packed trails of Waskahegan / Blackfoot. We did not need snowshoes, but some used theirs for an extra workout. There were a few skiiers trying to get in a last ski, and a few horses. Us hikers made our way around the lost lake trail and others, toward Meadow shelter. we found a nice spot for a break and a snack in the snow, and made our way back to the trailhead. En route, we picked up a lone hiker and adopted her into our group, or rather, she found us! Welcome to Edmonton and the EOC to our new friend. Thanks all who came out, great to see old friends and some new faces, it was a beautiful day and a nice hike. See you soon! Joanne
