Write Up:
Ten warmly dressed people enjoyed this Blackmud Creek ravine tour to the Ellerslie Gift and Garden.

We ended up staying there an hour as most people got some food and drink, and I thought the service the most friendly and prices were reasonable. All the ornaments and nick-nacks were interesting too, and someone remarked about all the various colours of poinsettias!

The woman at the cafe had just baked pumpkin muffins, and I enjoye one, and I noticed 1 or 2 people getting a grilled peanut butter and jam sandwich which looked quite tasty! The homemade soup looked good too!

I hope to do this event again in January or February perhaps with some variations of the route.

This cafe turned out to be a noteworthy place to have as a half-way point for a hike or snowshoe. And the washrooms were appreciated too.
