Wed, Jun 2 2010 - Urban Hike / Geocache Hunt in Kinsmen Park (View Original Event Details)

The weather network had predicted a mainly sunny evening for Wednesday two days earlier, but knowing my history with weather forecasts, we expected a major tornado in Edmonton. Fortunately we got away with only some showers.
We started with a 15 minute introduction on how to use our compass for finding our location on the map, orientation, and locating geocaches. Then Wes, Vadim, and Amanda helped with locating the caches using their compasses. We found the first two caches using compass, but we did not have any luck with the third cache (even using GPS). We were looking for the fourth cache when it started raining and we had to head back.
We had a lot of fun. Thank you guys for coming.
