It was a beautiful day in Elk Island! Eight of us met at the LRT station and drove out to Elk Island to hike the Wood Bison Trail. We began at 1:30 and after some time, stopped to have a snack and break. The hike was pleasant enough. We saw several wildlife: mostly bison but a couple of moose were fun to watch as well. We had a good group of energetic hikers and we finished the trail by nearly 5pm. The trail had the odd snow lingering snow patch and some wet and muddy sections but overall, decent conditions for an early season hike. The weather was perfect for our hike and we all enjoyed our after-noon in Elk Island. Thanks to those who came out for another great hike. See you all soon! Jeff
