Write Up:
It was a gorgeous spring day! Highs over 20C, and sunshine all day. 21 people met at the Devon boat launch for a little hike through the river valley. The route is about 12 km round trip, but includes almost 500 m elevation gain. Good practice for summer hikes in the mountains! The trail starts off flat and easy, then gets into some long steep sections. A few muddy spots along the way, but mostly dry and easy walking. The leaves aren't out on the trees yet, but it sure won't be too much longer! It was a great day, good exercise, and great company. A perfect day to be out, and a pretty trail close to the city.
