Write Up:
We hiked the Wood Bison Trail in Elk Island Park, starting off in heavy fog, but ending in sunlight. The 16 km trail passes through forests, meadows, and by a large lake. We only saw one other person, but much wildlife: a pileated woodpecker, many other birds, and a moose with one antler. Although there weren't any bison on the trail, we saw many while driving through the park. It was a beautiful day for a hike, and the company was excellent; thanks for coming out!
